Particles
Particles is a simple game of skill. The entire gameplay consists of keeping the blue ball from hitting (or being hit by) the red balls. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, you start out with three red balls, and then the game adds another once in a while. Factor in that the balls don't stay on a set path, but are bumped around by each other, and you have quite a challenge on your hands!

Turret Wars
Yup, time for another TD game! (that's tower defense for those who are new here) Turret Wars is a great little game, if a little on the advanced side. In this one you get to use the advantages of the terrain to slow down your enemies while protecting your base against their onslaught. So what are you waiting for? Go! Play!

Hungry Blocks
I've always loved games where you start small, and by eating increasingly larger enemies, grow. (Hence my penchant for the Katamari Damacy games on PS2) Hungry Blocks is one of these, but with the added effect of color coding. You are the yellow block. You eat the green blocks. You get eaten by the red blocks. The cool part is that as you eat green blocks, you'll see more and more of the red ones switch color. Of course, as you grow, it will also be more difficult to avoid the bigger blocks!

Word Shoot
Anyone who has tried them can likely attest to the dullness of most typing-teacher software programs. Fortunately though, there are alternatives. A whole crop of games have sprung up all over the web to offer practice to those who are still hunting and pecking for keys on their keyboard. One of my favorites is Word Shoot. Simply type the words that appear under your enemies before they get close enough to shoot back at you. Type "detonate" when a bomb appears or "fullhealth" when a first aid kit drops. The first few waves of invaders are three letter words, but the complexity goes up from there. All in all, a great little diversion that also gives you some good practice time with a skill that is so crucial to our world today.

Duck Hunt
Anyone who had an original Nintendo Entertainment System (yes, that's what NES stands for) back in the day will remember Duck Hunt. Well, the old classic is back and playable on your pc. And for those of you like me, who desperately wanted to shoot the dog (he's evil, really!), there's even a new "Game D" available!

Multiplayer Jelly Battle
In Multiplayer Jelly Battle, you and three opponents take turns hopping around on a constantly-changing game board. Hop on weapons to damage other players, power ups to protect yourself, or health to heal yourself, but avoid the land mines. When the air raids, lasers and firebombs are done, who will be the last jelly standing?

In Tower Blaster, the object is to rearrange the numbered blocks within your tower so they are in size order, before the vikings do the same. Whoever has their tower stable first blasts the other into oblivion!

Curveball
Curveball is kind of a Pong 3-D. Instead of side to side, the ball is coming straight at you. Add in the ability to spin the ball into a curve depending on how you hit it, bonus points for hitting with the very center of your paddle, and increasingly difficult levels as the computer player becomes more and more skilled at the game, and you have Curveball!

Cursor Invisible
Ok, so it's pretty easy to click on targets with your mouse right? And even if the targets are rapid-fire style, still pretty simple. But what if you can't see where your mouse is pointing? That's exactly the game play of Cursor Invisible. You get three seconds to take some practice shots, and then the mouse arrow goes away. If it sounds easy, go try it... you may find it more difficult than you'd guess.

Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack
Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack is reminds me of the old Mario games, circa the Super Nintendo era. Wander through levels, collect coins, defeat monsters, beat the evil pizzas into submission, and save the folks who they've imprisoned in this fun, lighthearted side scroller. There's even a save feature so you can pick up again where you left off!

Kill the Pacman!
The object of Kill the Pacman, oddly enough, is to kill pacmen. Betcha didn't see that coming... You play as a disgruntled beachball who (for whatever reason) has decided to take out his agression on flying colored Pacmen. The game starts out with a goal of killing a certain number within a time limit, then progresses to killing only red (or blue, whatever) pacmen, etc. While the graphics are a little on the disappointing side, the game itself is well worth a little play time.

Knife Throw 2
Have you ever wanted to strap your least favorite star to a board and throw knives at him? Well, now you can -- with Knife Throw 2. (WARNING: pop-up central) Choose from pop stars (like Britney), politicians (W and pals), actors (Brad Pitt anyone?) or random heiresses who somehow seem to always be in the news, then strap 'em in, give 'em a spin, and let the blades fly. You'll get points for hitting the numbered targets scattered around the board, but you might find yourself missing the targets more often than not...

Bloons Tower Defense
Ok, time for another tower defense game! (Told ya I liked these) This one's not precisely towers though. It's more like... monkeys. Cause everybody likes monkeys, right? Especially monkeys with darts! If you like monkeys with darts, head on over to Bloons TD and start defending!

BoomShine
BoomShine is one of the simplest games I have ever seen. And yet, it's colorful, addictive game play has completely sucked me in. The entire game involves popping a bubble to set off a chain reaction of colored bubbles. The graphics are nothing amazing, but the colors and pace are quite soothing. The best asset the game has though is undoubtedly the soundtrack. Typical game soundtracks can be many things, from memorable to annoying, but this one is nothing short of beautiful.

Pillage the Village
Pillage the Village is a fun little game from X-Gen Studios. The basic concept is you pick up villagers and toss them in the air. When they land, if they die -- that is if you've tossed them high enough, you get to keep their money. You can spend the money on more humane ways to kill them (euthanasia) or more wicked ways (acme anvils). One of the best features is the ability to save your progress -- rare in a browser game, but very helpful indeed!

Card Toss
OK, even if you've never tried it, most of us have heard of the old time-passer of flipping playing cards into a hat. Card Toss allows you to do that virtually. Move your hand to get the right angle, set the power you'll put behind your toss, and let her fly. After each winning toss, the hat will move. The game is sponsored by the US Playing Card Company. They make most of the major brands of playing cards, like Bicycle and Hoyle. It's also beautiful in it's simplicity. Simple game play mixed with simple sketch graphics make for a fun little challenge!
